Creating taxonomies and categories

Taxonomies bring order to your content. They group posts by topic – the best-known taxonomy is the category, another is tags.

Categories vs. tags

Categories are usually hierarchical (parent and child) and describe the broad topic. Tags are flat and describe details. This baseline already ships the "Genel" category.

Creating a taxonomy

In the cockpit under Structure → Taxonomies you create a new taxonomy, set its name and slug, and connect it to a content type – for example to "Post".

Managing terms

Inside the taxonomy you add individual terms and translate them into every active language. When editing a post you then simply assign it the matching terms.
